After our week in Barcelona (read about that in my previous post) we went on a cruise in Italy and France with Norwegian Cruise Line. Me and Daniel would probably not go on a cruise if were traveling on our own because we need a bit more adventure and challenges when we travel. But because we were traveling with my whole family and had two kids with us it was an easy way to experience different places in a short period of time. I think that if you have kids, going on a cruise is a great way to travel. We had a fun and relaxing week and got to spend a lot of time with my family.
Highlights from the cruise;
Rome: We got to see Rome for the second time (we went on a similar cruise with my family two years ago) and it's such an amazing city! You can really feel that you're a part of the history when you walk around that city. Rome is a city I want to go again and spend some more time in and I think it's one of the most interesting cities I've ever visited.
Marseille: I've never been to France before and Marseille was really a pleasant surprise! It was a really pretty city and I got to spend my time shopping for homemade soaps and sweets and eat macarons. I really want to go back to Marseille! It was a really nice place to visit.
Mum's Birthday: Last friday we celebrated my mum's 60th birthday. We had a really nice night and had a delicious dinner in one of the cruise-ships nicer restaurants. I'm glad that my mum get to have such a nice birthday celebration, she deserves it.
Have you even been on a cruise? What do you think about cruises?
